The Smart Drinker Assessment (SDA) is a website that allows people to assess their drinking and receive advice that is tailored to their own circumstances. This is done confidentially and in complete privacy. To visit the SDA click on the website image.
The website is the result of a growing body of research. Indeed the principles that underlie the SDA have been the subject of more research than any other alcohol intervention. Consistently this research has shown that the SDA is effective for populations of drinkers, for example a workforce or a college.
The SDA used in this website has been made even more powerful with the addition of another element - Social Comparison. This allows the website users to compare their drinking against the average consumption of others of the same age, gender and locality.
Employers can access this facility through SPREADE as part of the suite of tools provided. However they can have their workforce access the SDA independently and obtain a report on their workforce consumption. If you are interested in finding out more then contact us through the contact page.
The SDA was originally built in collaboration with one of the largest health boards in the UK. So it is completely compatible for Health Boards and/or Trusts and not only . If a Health Board or Trust wished to utilise this technology we can build a similar website for them or we can give access through our current website. We have also shown that we can promote the SDA to the target audience at a very reasonable cost. If you are interested in finding out more then contact us through the contact page.
